The Daddy Bag

Well, the exams are finished today! Hooray!!!
It has been a long slog fro Ricardo and he has worked really hard. We truly admire him for the effort and dedication he continues to exhibit.
The exam period is somewhat tense and began at the beginning of the Easter holidays. So very often Ricardo starts "working" at 6am or earlier and finishes late at night. The children and myself have almost forgotten what he looks like!!!
About a week or so ago, the strain of missing daddy showed in the children, they wanted to play, (he wanted to play) but daddy couldn't and so there were tears. Mama made a quick exit to the park and talked to the children along the following lines. "It's hard not to see Daddy, you miss him. Only seven more sleeps and all of daddy's exams are over and you can have your daddy back!"
Michael smiled and Ana's delight was evident. So she reiterated what I had said to Michael along the following lines. "Yes, that's right Michael, only seven sleeps and you can have a Daddy bag!"
Well, I just about fell over, the tense moment completely dispelled!
And last night we went out to the local supermarket and bought a "daddy bag" and filled it with treats and all things that daddy likes and brought it home. We gave it to daddy today and so the end of the exams duly came and we got a daddy bag!
