Small Joys and Simple Pleasures

A delightful thing happened this morning. As I lay in bed listening to the not-so-quiet gurglings of my children re-entering consciousness and I dared to open my eyes and do the same, the sunshine was filling the landing. I looked and took a moment to appreciate once more how grateful I am that the clocks went forward recently. It is wonderful to notice the additional light, but it takes on a whole new and delightful meaning when the sun actually shines and floods my house. What a grand way to wake up - gurglings and sunlight!
