I have always tried to emulate it for several reasons, to recapture the magic of those Christmases with her, to reproduce it for my children, purely just to have such a magical Christmas tree in the house.
I am pleased to announce, that although this tree looks nothing like hers, I think I have come as close as I may every to the elusive, mystical standard. I attribute the success to the tree (thank you Rachel for the loan) and to Granny's ornaments which I use every year and to the addition of "rain" something that I thought had gone out of fashion and was no longer sold (I am happy to be proved wrong!!!)
